Green Hope Colombia Foundation,
working since 2009 to make
concious the Indigenous
people, to stop illegal
wildlife trade and the protection
of animal species that are
endangered.
During
2009 - 2012, we visit and
socialize with different
stakeholders, to eradicate
wildlife trafficking, hunting
and sale of animal species
of the international and
local market within Colombia.
Indigenous
Communities Involved
We
have
worked with Indigenous communities,
indigenous leaders and stakeholders
located in Tarapacá
Road ¨The Kilometers¨,
and outskirts of Leticia
city.
Objectives
1.
Stop the illegal practices
of wildlife trafficiking
andl species in danger of
extinction.
2.
Socialize and awareness
among different indigenous
communities, developing
workshops of alternative
economic practices in the
pursuit of wildlife protection.
3.
Valuing local species and
biodiversity.
Goals
Encourage
and awareness, that is better
to see a free animal, which
locked in a cage, or killed
for fur trade, or have it
as an exotic pet.
We
want to develop an economical
alternative with a mutual
work, aimed to protect the
Amazon Biodiversity.
